Hin & Johnson is borne of the passion for high quality men's wear that not only looks good, but also comfortable and joyful to wear; and great appreciation for superfine quality fabrics. Knowing that fabrics alone do not translate into great images and comfort in themselves, Hin & Johnson decides to bring that about in its own special way.

Who We Are

Hin & Johnson although newly established is managed by people who appreciate quality and have solid experience in tailoring and providing service.

John Wong (Hin, his Chinese name) is the owner of Hin & Johnson. He manages the business directly and personally looks after client development and service. John has more than 30 years experience in being an entrepreneur and a corporate executive. Before starting Hin & Johnson, he is an executive recruiter with a global executive search firm, based in Shanghai. He has also owned businesses in fine dining and retail; and therefore is well disposed to the business of service, client relationship and delivering value.

Johnson Woo is John's nephew. He is highly instrumental in setting up Hin & Johnson and will provide the backend support and tailoring team from his Hong Kong base as a business partner. Johnson has been in the tailoring business for more than 20 years. Born into a family tradition of tailoring which migrated from Shanghai to Hong Kong more than 60 years ago, Johnson learned the trade from a young age and has built on it in Hong Kong. In the late 90's, Johnson decided to expand into China and has since created a very successful presence in ChengDu.

Peter Lee is our Master Cutter from Hong Kong. He leads our delivery process. Peter has more than 30 years experience working in Hong Kong, China and the U.K. He has worked both the front and back ends of the business, i.e., served a wide variety of clients in the shopfront and managed workshops working with variety of tailor associates. Started as an apprentice in his teens, Peter had worked with and learned from different master tailors in his formative years. Today,  Peter has matured into a Master of his own right.
